Korea Decoded is written by Bongseok, a Korean writer based in Busan, South Korea.

I started this blog because I kept noticing the gap — between how Korea is portrayed abroad and what it's actually like to live here. Travel guides that miss the best spots. Food lists that skip the real local favorites. K-pop coverage that stays on the surface. I wanted to fix that.

I grew up in Seoul and now live in Busan. I know where locals actually eat, which neighborhoods are worth visiting, and what's happening in Korean culture before it reaches international headlines. Korea Decoded is my attempt to share that perspective — in English, for readers who are curious about the real Korea.
